New & Transferring Rooms
New Rooms
  • There are absolutely --NO-- fees associated with opening a role play room here on Portal of Dreams.  There is, however, a $5 fee for opening a subroom.
  • If a Room Leader would like to have the ability to moderate (boot) within their room, they are required to obtain and maintain an active and up-to-date membership.
  • Room Leaders can also designate two others as moderators, but they too must also obtain and maintain a membership on Portal of Dreams.
  • All rooms will be approved by the Site Administrators.  You can contact them HERE
You will be contacted within 24 hours to discuss the room, and to work towards approval. Once approved, if you would like moderator access, you can purchase a membership through the Portal of Dreams Store.
That's all there is to it!  We have simplified our procedures, and eliminated the costs many experienced in the past.  Portal of Dreams does not charge for rooms, only extras.  We cannot wait to hear from you, and eagerly await reading through your room application.
Transferring Rooms

If you have an active membership on another site and are transferring your room here, please provide us with a screenshot showing the expiration date, and we will honor the same amount of membership time you have left, excluding Lifetimes.  Lifetimes will be honored as 2 years of membership to Portal of Dreams.  All other perks for New Rooms will also apply to Transferred Rooms.
Subrooms
Subrooms are at the Room Leader's discretion, up to three of them allowed per room.
Subrooms are defined as a unique concept to chatsites.  Just as the 'subbasement' is defined as "A floor beneath a main basement of a building", we can allude to the subroom defined as "A room beneath the main room of a chatsite".  The subroom is an extension of the main room, and as such needs to add to the dimensions of roleplay that can be found in the pre-approved Main room of any site on Portal of Dreams.  If the concepts played out in subrooms do not tie into or are not affiliated to the characters and roleplay occuring in the Main room, then it does not meet the definition of a subroom.  If you wish to open a room that does not fit the qualifications of a subroom, please fill out the application for a New Room.
