"Those are the great forests. No one knows how far they extend to the east, and they go north as far as Torvaldsland. In them there are the forest people, but also many bands of outlaws, some of women and some of men."
"Women?" I asked.
"Some call them forest girls," said Ute. "Others call them the panther girls, for they dress themselves in the teeth and skins of forest panthers, which they slay with their spears and bows."-Captive of Gor

Captures and Combat

1. All combative role play shall take place under current AR Open Combat rules unless ALL parties involved opt for another system. If the parties involved cannot decide upon an outcome amongst themselves, they must post the role play for review by a judge agreeable to ALL parties. If the parties involved can not agree to a mutual judge, they forfeit any and ALL rights to choosing who does or does not judge the fight, as well as refusal to honor the ruling of the judge. In such instance, the Senior Staff will find a judge for you from the list of judges each combatant has put forth. Participants are free to have captures, escapes and deaths judged for resolution, unless all parties involved have chosen to accept the results as they happen.

2. There are three levels or layers of travel through the Forest locations - Edge Locations, Camp/Near Locations, and Deep Forest/Panther Locations. You must move through them in logical order. Your entry point is determined by whether or not you live in the forest. If you don't live in the forest, you enter at the edge of the forest. If you live in the forest, you should resume your role-play where you last left off. The canopy and ground cover are far too thick for travel using tarns, kaiila, tharlarions, or other mounts. All travel and actions in the forest are to be done on foot.

3. There is NO entering and pouncing. No kills, attacks, or captures will be honored if made during an entry post. You MUST travel into the area before joining any activity zone, ongoing battle, etc. You MUST exit properly before being safely outside the zone, as well. Likewise, no one may attack you during your entry posts, although you are permitted to defend against attack while simultaneously making your exit posts.

4. Use of pull-downs is mandatory. Location pull-downs will be used to indicate your general location within the vast areas represented by the regional GRP room or the wilderness areas outside a member-run home. Use of pull-downs will be used to determine the validity of all role-play.

5. When a conflict breaks out, those who are able to participate and become a factor in the scenario will be limited to those who are already present within the room. A scenario is seen as beginning at the moment of the first attack.

6. Captures and escapes can make your palms sweat, your heart race and be extremely exciting roleplay! ALL Capture attempts in our GRP rooms need to be done in three alternating posts.(3 posts each) Please don't forget that those doing the capture should be realistically roleplayed and those being captured must realistically defend all attempts while fleeing. Most Importantly - Have Fun!

7. NPC animals played in GRP rooms are used for enhancement of a storyline and may not kill or maim any played character. NPC animals can be used to augment the capture of a played character, but the NPC animal must be controlled by a played character for the capture to be considered valid.

8. There are three levels or layers of travel through the Forest locations - Edge Locations, Camp/Near Locations, and Deep Forest/Panther Locations. You must move through them in logical order.
