IT IS THE LATE DARK AGES, EARLY MEDIEVAL TIMES IN THE BATTLE SCARRED, TORTURED LANDS OF BRITAIN WITH A TWIST IN THE HISTORICAL TIMELINE.

The era is around 800 to 1000 A.D. and strongly constructed wooden Edwardian-style Norman fortresses are scattered about the landscape throughout southern Britain that once held Roman legions and sharing the lands with the Normans are remnants and offspring of displaced soldiers of fortune and Knights that carved out their existence there. They all fight and trade land and blood between themselves, no peace foreseen anytime near.

In the north, within what was once the unsettled lands fought over by so many for so many generations lie the lands of the Saxons that, in a twist against known history, gained a deep foothold and expanded their holdings in a series of decisive victories against the early Britons.

The north is dotted with fortified villages of the Saxons and the occasional Pict settlement in the east with the only exception being the lands just south in Wales of King Aldwyn, the third generation of his family to hold these lands. His Keep is located on a northwestern shoreline with the village of Amiens within its walls.

His formidable thick-walled, wooden keep that rivals the finest of the best-built Norman castle in the south stands as the last British outpost against the occupation of the Saxons and Picts, and now the encroaching, invading Vikings.

His forces and Knights fight constant battles to try and keep his lands intact as well as expand his holdings into the surrounding Norman and Saxon holdings.

His lands are protected by smaller but well built lesser keeps, each with their own contingent of soldiers and guards to protect the villages and small towns that are near them.

And that is but one tale or aspect of all that is happening within these tortured lands that so much are open for conquest, just as with King Aldwyn.

As mentioned above, there are clans of Picts and other cultures striving to survive, bent on conquest, and make their mark on these ancient lands, not to mention even other unearthly "creatures" that are after the very same thing.

Do you have it within youself and in the strength of your peoples to take on what lies before you and try and make your own mark bent on surviving and conquest? If so then...Britain: Unconquered Awaits You!
