Humans



Humans are pretty self-explanatory here. They live every day lives, hold down every day jobs, and simply go about life as usual for the most part. There -are- some exceptions though, and there are a smattering of humans that are known as psionics. In layman's terms, this means that these are simple humans, with honed extrasensory gifts. A few of these will be recognized and allowed to flourish here. Realize though, that in -all- instances, these gifts must be -focused- upon and will take energy out of the character no matter how they are used.

Mediums - Mediums are humans that communicate with the dead. These are not animators and they do not "raise the dead", it simply means that they can communicate in different manners with those that have passed on.

Clairvoyance - Clairvoyance is the gift of being able to gather glimpses of the history or past of a person or object by touch. In some instances, clairvoyance has been known to be possessed by those that did not need the aid of touch, but here, only touch clairvoyants will be acknowledged. It is a good rule of thumb to discuss this sort of play person to person before any OOC or IC knowledge of information is used.

Telekinesis - The ability to move objects with your mind. This is usually only warranted in small scale, though through thorough roleplay a greater concentration can be forged and earned.

Telepathy - The ability to delve into and read another person's thoughts or mind. Again, this is the sort of power that's best discussed player to player before information is gleened IC.

Pyrokinesis - The ability to wield and control fire. Within Obsidian Moon it's simple. A Pyrokinesis can set themself -ablaze- but to truly wield fire, an cause movement within it, there must be a pre-existing flame. I.E. Joe Blow Firestarter can burst into flames any time he wants, but to set a building on fire or some such, he's got to -draw- the fire from a fireplace, candle, something of that sort. It's more of -controlling- fire rather than -creating- it.

Cryokinesis - The ability to wield and control ice. This is the age-old "turn-the-glass-of-water-into-ice" trick. It works on medium levels, but no freezing the Atlantic Ocean.

Empathy - This is the ability to read and delve into other's emotions. Some empaths are so strong that they actually -feel- the other person's emotions.

Witchcraft is allowed within the room, but as all bios must be approved, your witchcraft powers must be approved as well. If you have any questions about what type of witchcraft is allowed, your best bet is to simply use your creativity and it will either pass or fail! There are quite a few that have knowledge of elemental magic and they're always available for any questions
