PROTECTORATE & POSSESSION OF ISLE OF HUNJER / PoD
"My four commercial voyages had been among the exchange islands, or free islands, in Thassa, administered as free ports by members of the Merchants. There were several such islands. Three, which I encountereed frequently in my voyages, were Teletus, and, south of it, Tabor, named for the drum, which it resembles, and to the north, among the northern islands, Scagnar. Others were Farnacium, Hulneth and Asperiche. I did not go as far south as Anago or Ianda, or as far north as Hunjer or Skjern, west of Torvaldsland. There islands, with occasional free ports on the coast, north and south of the Gorean equator, such as Lydius and Helmutsport, and Schendi and Bazi, make possible the commerce between Cos and Tyros, and the mainland, and its cities, such as Ko-ro-ba, Thentis, Tor, Ar, Turia, and many others." -Raiders of Gor
Tal, Goreans,
Let it be known that after brave Gorandile did perish in battle and join his ancestors in the halls of Valhalla, where he shall reside with the line of his people forever, Jarl Aerig Ironsail and the mighty warriors of the Isle of Hunjer did embark on glorious conquest in the fallen Ironsmith's reverenced name, the rune priests having declared the omens favorable. Boldly they did sail down the coast, looting and pillaging, establishing their legend and their might upon the whale-roads of Thassa, collecting the fleets of their retainers as they went.
Backed by Hulneth, the two islands allied by treaty and mutual oath, Jarl Aerig Ironsail did first bend the Isle of Skerjn to his will, only to set his sights upon Skerry of Einar. Before Thassa could close her ranks with groaning ice and bitter gales, the warriors of Hunjer did overthrow the High Jarl there; vanquished, Skerry of Einar and main coast locations too, ceded to Aerig, pledging their fealty to his war arrow, their tribute to his treasure coffers, and the choicest among their women to his chains.
Aerig Ironsail, now High Jarl of a vast area of northern Torvaldsland, did then return to Hunjer in glorious victory, the comeliest wenches of Skjern and Skerry of Einar chained as luck girls to the prows of his ships. Mere days later, winter sent the serpents to hibernate in their long sheds, the winter's dark and freeze thus preventing any sort of retaliation from the conquered locations.
And so let it be known by all that when one visits the Skerry of Einar, one may expect the hospitality of Hunjer!
For all intents and purposes, the Isle of Skjern, Skerry of Einar, Skerry of Var, and Thorsteins Lair, PoD-wise, are under the protection and possession of the Isle of Hunjer/PoD and its High Jarl Aerig Ironsail.
