Combat will consist of as many posts as it takes to finish the combat, or if the combatants decide to withdraw. Your combat post will be comprised of three actions. You can use these actions as you please as defense or attack. Special note: if you use magic or have a magic attack it will take two of your actions to perform a spell or use a spell-like ability. Same goes if you have mental powers - it will cost you two actions to use them. This makes it fair for those who only use weapons in combat. If you are hit before your magic or mental attack goes off it does not work or go off.
Please be realistic! Do not use the same weapon to do multiple actions with on a single post - it does not work. Realism is the big key and this includes taking a hit. It does not have to be crippling and it can be glancing but there is no way you can dodge and miss every attack thrown at you.
Lastly; magic and magical and mental attacks. You need to keep them to a lower level. Remember these types of attacks are going to be fast paced. This is fast paced combat. You do not have time to work up the huge mega destructive spells. The spells have to be fast and low powered.
- D&D 5th level casting is almost too much for this style of combat
- If not versed in D&D, spells such as balls of fire, ice storms and non lethal gas that effect limited areas are acceptable.
- If the effect is big and bad and kills or blows everyone up in one fell swoop, then you are casting something too powerful for this.
