- There are NO main room fees of Portal of Dreams. There is, however, a $5 fee for opening subrooms. When applying for a room on PoD, you are not purchasing the room, but you will need to purchase the right to run a room....
- Room Leaders are required to obtain and maintain an active and up-to-date membership on Portal of Dreams. Not only does this give you the right to run an approved room, but it gives you the right to boots to moderate that room.
- Room Moderators may be designated by a Room Leader. Room Moderators must also obtain and maintain a membership on Portal of Dreams.
- All rooms must be approved by the appropriate Site Staff for the genre the room would belong in. There are 2 ways to go about this:

That's all there is to it! We have simplified procedures and eliminated the costs many experienced in the past. PoD does not charge for rooms, only extras, and as long as you become and remain a member of Portal of Dreams, you have the right to apply to have your room ideas hosted on our servers.

- If you have an active membership on another site and are tranferring your room here, please provide us with a screenshot showing the expiration date, and we will honor the same amount of membership time you have left, excluding Lifetimes. Lifetimes will be honored as 2 years of membership to PoD.
- All other perks for New Rooms will also apply to Transferred Rooms.
Subrooms are at the Room Leader's discretion, up to three of them allowed per room.
Subrooms are defined as a unique concept to chatsites. Just as the 'subbasement' is defined as "A floor beneath a main basement of a building", we can allude to the subroom defined as "A room beneath the main room of a chatsite". The subroom is an extension of the main room, and as such needs to add to the dimensions of roleplay that can be found in the pre-approved Main room of any site on Portal of Dreams. If the concepts played out in subrooms do not tie into or are not affiliated to the characters and roleplay occuring in the Main room, then it does not meet the definition of a subroom. If you wish to open a room that does not fit the qualifications of a subroom, please fill out the application for a New Room.
