Historical Fantasies - An Introduction

Historical Fantasies is where you can bring your dreams and thoughts together; it’s where you can answer a simple question that’s been in the minds of people since people could think: what if? What if I lived a thousand years ago or more? What if the world had mystical creatures, magic, and strange powers? What if a certain person was never born or a great event had never happened?

Here, we facilitate these questions and give you a place to try to find the answer. The Historical Fantasies site is divided into three genres: Historical, Sword and Sorcery, and Alternative History. Historical is for people who want to play in the days of ancient Rome or forgotten Byzantium; where they can remember the days the redcoats ruled the worlds, or ride with Genghis Khan. Sword and Sorcery is where you can draw a magic sword and fight alongside elves and dwarves, or ride a dragon high over the sky. It’s where the fae reside, and where classic roleplay games like Dungeons and Dragons can take place. Finally, Alternative History lets you plot out a new course for history itself, and try to figure out how things could have been. It lets you decide the outcome of the American Civil War, decide whether or not Kublai Khan’s invasion of Japan succeeded, or decide the time the Roman Empire fell - or whether or not it did.

This site exists to let you pick a new path for yourself, to empower your characters with strange knowledge, or even to reside back when things were different. Anything can be slotted in here, and almost any dream or thought can find purchase. These historical fantasies are ones that anyone can share and help to grow.
