Are you ready? Ready to realize your dream of being a room leader on Portal of Dreams?
Portal of Dreams is a site dedicated to offering you, the roleplayer, much control and diversity when you open a room on any of our portal sites. You will have the flexibility through a personal Room Editor to change your opening page, including the overall html appearance of the entry, the default screen name and the entry message(s). You will have the ability to alter features inside the chatroom such as pulldowns and random message encounters. And you may also expand upon roleplay for the theme of your room by requesting a subroom, an extension of the main room, and the ability to customize the pulldowns and random message encounters in there, as well.
Portal of Dreams staff is fully committed to helping you realize the dream of leading a successful room, offering support in all areas and to your room concept. In order to facilitate the success of your room there are a few requests that we have in return.
- Commitment to your room: It is expected that you will set the example for a room's success by roleplaying actively within it. If a room is inactive for the period of one-month (30 days), it will fall under review by the Site Staff. Staff will attempt to contact you and find out your intentions before making any recommendations to the Portal of Dreams Management Team up to and including room removal. If circumstances in life or elsewise take you away from the ability to stay committed to your room with an active presence, and you inform Portal of Dreams, we will make every effort to save your room for your expected return. Communication is key!
- Commitment to your idea: It is expected that you will abide by the concept of any room, as it was when it was sent in for approval. Any change of concept must be approved by Site Staff. This does not mean that a slight rewrite of room rules or the addition of a subroom to add to the roleplay must be approved as long as the basic concept of the room remains intact.
- Commitment to Portal of Dreams: It is expected that the Room Leader and their chosen Room Moderator will maintain up-to-date membershps with Portal of Dreams. It is expected that all site and forum rules are understood and will be followed in order to contribute to the positive atmosphere of Portal of Dreams that will have an impact on the success of your room and the site as a whole.
When your idea is submitted, it goes under a cursory review by Portal of Dreams Management and then is dispersed to the appropriate Portal of Dreams Site Staff. You will be contacted within 24 hours to engage in discussion about the concept, to ask and answer questions that may arise and to finalize any remaining criteria. Upon approval, the Site Staff will ask you to submit pertinent information needed in order to create the room and once received, your room should be available for roleplay within hours. It is at this time we ask that you make the appropriate membership purchase in order that you may have access to all room leader perks, including boots to moderate within your room.
